3 Principles to Help You Order Fast Food and Still Lose Body Weight

The majority of my problems started after marriage and working a full time job. I went from hanging out doing my thing to being on the go all the time and increasing more and more responsibility. The end result was that my eating habits began to change! Often go to restaurants and always be tempted at emenu restaurant.

I found myself eating all kinds of foods during the day and hardly ever eating outside of the drive through. Especially in Japan, there are many good food ordering systems and delicious food too. I basically lived in those places. It was like a moth being drawn to the flame. After some time it was like I could drive past a fast food place and gain 10 LBS. It was horrible. I knew something had to change because I could not afford buying new larger clothes every six months or so. So I found these principles that I wanted to show you. They are 3 tips you can use to begin the process of losing weight.

First, use the Half-n-Half Principle

Here is the kicker of this principle. You get to order whatever you like. YEP…order away. However, after you order the food, tell the person behind the counter that you want your order to be cut in half. Usually in Japan they already use the tto system. Not the size of the order but really cut the order exactly in half. Because what you are going to do is eat half of it  then take the other half to go.

So eat away. Eat the entire half. Then in 3-4 hours you can turn around and eat the other part later. The reason you want to do this is because it will allow you to store less body fat. It will even help you increase your metabolism eating like this. It is that simple trick… give it a shot.

Second, get rid of all the starch 

What this looks like is throwing away all the buns, bread and anything made of flour. Now I know, that makes everything nasty and doesn’t taste right. So, here is the trick to help you out. Keep one piece of the bread like from the hamburger. As you progress in this, you can use another trick a friend of mine told me about…

I keep ONE of the pieces of bread from, say, my hamburger. Then I “pick” at it while I enjoy the meat and either a small diet soda or tea. Eat no more than 5 “picks” at the bread… about half a slice. You still get the exact taste of a burger with none of the stuff that makes most people over-fat.

Third, chicken lovers, split your order between fried and baked chicken. 

The great thing that is taking place at some of the chicken places is that they actually have excellent baked chicken. If you have not tried it… I want to encourage you to try it. Another thing you can do when you get fried chicken is strip most of the skin off the fried chicken. You don’t have to take it all off but try to get most of it. You still get the taste, but with far fewer bad food-stuffs and calories…. make sense?

OK those are 3 principles that you can live by when it comes to eating out. You do those three things and you can start seeing yourself living a healthier life and losing weight.
