Activist and Nobel Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai introduced her wedding ceremony on Twitter Tuesday.
The 24-yr-previous explained that she and her freshly-wed spouse, determined only as Asser, held a tiny nikkah, an Islamic relationship ceremony at which a pair signals a marital agreement. They tied the knot at their dwelling in Birmingham, England.
“Today marks a cherished working day in my lifetime,” Yousafzai wrote in her announcement.
Nowadays marks a valuable working day in my daily life.
Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a smaller nikkah ceremony at residence in Birmingham with our family members. Be sure to deliver us your prayers. We are fired up to wander collectively for the journey ahead.

Yousafzai’s announcement came just a couple of months after she explained she was not sure about the thought of relationship in a July 2021 interview with British Vogue.
